Terms of Use — Book Break

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Book Break app ("the App", "we"). By downloading the App, creating an account or using it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

This is an English translation provided for convenience. If there is any conflict between versions, the Turkish version prevails.

1. Eligibility and Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use Book Break. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
You are responsible for keeping your account and password confidential.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You can delete your account at any time in the App (Profile → Delete Account).

3. Acceptable Use

When using the App, you agree not to:

Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, obscene or that infringes the rights of others
Harass, threaten or spam other users
Attempt to bypass the App's security, reverse engineer it or disrupt the service
Impersonate another person
Use the App for unauthorized commercial purposes

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules and to suspend or close the account involved.

4. User Content

You are responsible for the content you send (messages, reports, etc.).
You keep ownership of your content, but you allow us to host and display it to the extent needed to operate the App.
You can report other users. We may review reports and take the action we consider appropriate.
When you delete your account, your content is deleted or anonymized as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

The App may offer optional subscriptions for premium features.

Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms.
Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
The renewal fee is charged within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store account settings.
Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Refund requests are subject to Apple's refund policy; we cannot process refunds directly.

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its content (excluding user content) belong to us and are protected by copyright and other laws. Book content and catalog data belong to their respective sources (e.g. Open Library, Gutendex, Google Books) and rights holders.

7. Provision of Service and Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available".
We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages.

8. Changes to the Service and Termination

We may change, suspend or discontinue the App or its features from time to time.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
You can delete your account at any time.

9. Additional Terms Regarding Apple (App Store)

These Terms are between you and us; Apple is not a party to them.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple to request a refund of the purchase price, where applicable; beyond that, Apple has no other obligation with respect to the App.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them against you.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will notify you of significant changes. Continuing to use the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
